Current privacy policy regulates collecting, processing and keeping personal data. Personal data is collected and processed by Kagu Hostel (MELIRAN OÜ).
In our Privacy Policy, a data subject is a customer or other person whose personal data is processed by us.
In our Privacy Policy, a customer is anyone who purchases goods or services from our website.
The data processor follows the principles of data processing provided by legislation, the data processor processes personal data legally, fairly and securely. The data processor is able to confirm that personal data have been processed in accordance with the legislation.
Kagu Hostel (MELIRAN OÜ) is the chief processor of personal data, Kagu Hostel (MELIRAN OÜ) forwards the personal data necessary for making payments to the authorized processor Maksekeskus AS.
Kagu Hostel uses the personal data entered by the customer mainly for order processing and accommodation.
Collecting, processing and keeping personal data
We retain customer data depending on the purpose of processing, but not longer than 1 year.
When processing and storing personal data of the data subject, the processor shall implement organizational and technical measures to ensure the protection of personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, disclosure and any other unlawful processing.
The personal data collected, processed and stored by us (Kagu Hostel) are collected electronically and on paper, mainly through a website and e-mail.
By sharing personal data, the data subject gives us (Kagu Hostel) right to collect, organize, use and manage personal data for the purposes defined in the privacy policy, which the data subject shares directly or indirectly with Kagu Hostel when purchasing goods or services on the website.
The data subject is responsible for ensuring that the data provided by him or her is accurate, correct and complete. Submitting false information is considered a violation of our privacy policy. The data subject is obliged to immediately notify us (Kagu Hostel) of any changes in the submitted data.
Kagu Hostel (MELIRAN OÜ) is not be liable for any damage caused to the data subject or third parties caused by the submission of false data by the data subject.
Processing of customers’ personal data
We process the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Company name
- Address
- Phone
- E-mail address
- Arrival time
- Bank number (IBAN)
- Payment card details
In addition to the above, we have the right to collect customer data that is available in public registers.
Kagu Hostel has the right to share the personal data of customers with third parties, such as authorized data processors, accountants, transport and courier companies, companies providing transmission services.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the Estonian general data protection regulation § 6 lg 1 p-d a), b), c) and f):
a) the data subject has consented to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes;
b) processing personal data is necessary for following agreement concluded with the participation of the data subject or in order to take pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject;
c) personal data processing is necessary for data manager to fulfill a legal obligation;
f) processing of personal data is necessary in the legitimate interest of the data manager or of a third party, unless such interest outweighs the interests of the data subject or the fundamental rights and freedoms for which personal data must be protected, in particular where the data subject is a child.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right to access and inspect their personal data.
The data subject has the right to receive information about the processing of his or her personal data.
The data subject has the right to supplement or correct inaccurate data.
If the data manager processes the personal data of the data subject on the basis of the data subject’s consent, the data subject has the right to withdraw the consent at any time.

In order to protect his or her rights, the data subject has the opportunity to submit a complaint to the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
Final provisions
Data protection conditions have been drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / law and legislation of the Republic of Estonia and the European Union.
Kagu Hostel (data manager) has the right to change the data protection conditions in part or in full by notifying the data subjects of the changes via the website (www.kaguhostel.ee).
